IDEs, Online Services and more

What do we study? Computers! What do we need to study computers? Be good at computers to install all the crap we need to be able to study...

Well, not really. As long as you are able follow instructions and install some bits and pieces on your computer, you'll be grand.

Below a list of programs and online services (with links to explanations how to use them) you can use to support your studies:

To practice Programming Languages:

IDE (what is an IDE?) to install on your computer:
- JetBrain's PyCharm (link coming soon),
- CodeBlocks (link coming soon).

Online IDEs:
- Cloud9 (comes with CS50 course) (link coming soon),
- Codeanywhere (link coming soon).

To practice Maths and Computing Fundamentals:

To install on your computer:
- Sage Math (link coming soon).

Cloud Sage Math:
- CoCalc (link coming soon).

To practice real world Programming skills:

Online Services:
- Github (link coming soon).

And although it's not exactly required to know or have them all, I strongly recommend to at least have:
- one IDE on your computer,
- one cloud IDE account,
- use Sage Math either on your computer on cloud,
- start familiarising with and storing your codes on Github as it's the main thing that the employers will look at when interviewing you for your dream job!

Good luck and get cracking!
